place to begin if you are looking for general turtle information.

A non-profit organization that is "dedicated to the conservation,
preservation of habitat, and the promotion of proper husbandry and
captive propagation of turtles and tortoises." The site has
a listing of herp veterinarians throughout the US as well as good
information about the Asian Turtle Crisis.

A non-profit organization in North Carolina dedicated to "help
with the recovery of stressed and endangered populations through
enhanced public awareness, the development of regional conservation
strategies, support of successful existing programs, and conservation-oriented
research." Great source of photographs and captive breeding
information.
