Distribution Basins near the Atlantic coast from the mouth of the Rio São Francisco to São Paulo state in eastern Brazil, as well as an isolated record from the upper Rio Xingu basin in Mato Grosso state, Brazil
Comments Reviewed by Ernst (1983c; as Platemys radiolata; although his distribution map is in error), Rhodin, Mittermeier, and McMorris (1984; as Platemys radiolata), and Rhodin, da Rocha e Silva, and Mittermeier (1984; as Platemys radiolata).
