Comments Synonymy should include Chelymys krefftii Gray (1871b; = Emydura krefftii), and Euchelymys subglobosa Krefft (1876; = Emydura subglobosa), according to McDowell (1983). Considered a synonym of Emydura macquarrii by Cogger et al. (1983) and King and Burke (1989:120), without discussion. However, these poorly substantiated changes are rejected until John Legler's taxonomic review is complete.
