Distribution Murray-Darling river basin in South Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria, and coastal basins in extreme southeastern South Australia
Comments Reviewed by Cogger et al. (1983). See Comment under Emydura australis. Wells and Wellington (1985:12) erroneously placed this species in the genus Chelymys Gray (1844: see Comment under Emydura); they also named the Cooper Creek - Strzelecki Creek populations of southwestern Queensland as C. windorah, but without a diagnosis or an adequate description.
