Original name Pseudemys stejnegeri
Common name Central Antillean Slider
Distribution Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and the Bahamas (Great Inagua Island); introduced on Paradise Island off New Providence in the Bahamas. Marķe Galante Island, (25 km SE Guadelupe in the Lesser Antilles), and Culebra and Vieques Islands off of Puerto Rico (Seidel, 1988).
Comments Reviewed by Seidel (1988). Includes Pseudemys malonei Barbour and Carr (1938:76) according to Seidel (1984 and 1988) and Seidel and Adkins (1987).
