Comments |
Reviewed by Smith (1931; as Hardella thurgi), Tikader and Sharma (1985; as Hardella thurgi), and Das (1991). Hardella indi (Gray, 1870c:58) is variably recognized as a synonym of H. thurjii (many recent authors), a separate species (McDowell, 1964), or a subspecies of H. thurjii (Wermuth and Mertens, 1977:40). It is recognized here as a subspecies pending further taxonomic study. |
