- Tribe Batagurini. Reviewed by Smith (1931), Bourret (1941) and Moll (1985, 1986, 1987). Most closely related to the genera Batagur, Callagur, Hardella and Morenia according to Moll (1986:540). Subgenera in species accounts (i.e., Kachuga and Pangshura) follow Moll (1985, 1986, 1987).
