- Comments
- Subgenus Astrochelys (not Asterochelys) according to Bour (1984c). Reviewed by Juvik (1975), Groombridge (1982), Juvik et al. (1981), and Durrell et al. (in Swingland and Klemens, 1989). Includes Testudo hypselonota Bourret (1941:9) according to Auffenberg (1963:462-65).
