Comments
Broadley (1981b) considered Pelusios castanoides a subspecies of Pelusios castaneus, although Bour (1983) argued that they are distinct species. Includes P. castaneus kapika Bour (1978), according to Bour (1983). Reviewed by Boycott and Bourquin (1988).
